Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information SimKit collects when you browse the store, buy a travel eSIM, and manage your eSIMs, and how we use and protect it.

Information we collect

  • Account: your email address, used to sign you in and keep your eSIMs saved to your account, so they’re always there when you come back.
  • Orders: the plans you buy, order status, and the eSIM activation details we generate for you.
  • Payments: card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep a payment reference to reconcile your order.
  • Usage: for active eSIMs we retrieve data-usage figures from our connectivity provider so we can show you how much data is left.

How we use it

  • To provision and deliver your eSIM and show its activation QR code.
  • To display your order history and remaining data.
  • To process payments, refunds, and fraud checks.
  • To send transactional email about your orders.
  • To send occasional deals and travel tips, but only if you opted in. Every one carries a one-click unsubscribe, and you can switch them off any time under Email preferences in My account.

Who we share it with

We share only what each provider needs to deliver the service:

  • Stripe: payment processing.
  • Supabase (hosted on AWS): our database and sign-in infrastructure.
  • Vercel: website hosting, plus privacy-friendly, cookieless page analytics.
  • Google: analytics (see Cookies & analytics below).
  • Microsoft: anonymised session insights via Microsoft Clarity (see Cookies & analytics below).
  • Meta: to measure the performance of our ads on Facebook and Instagram (see Cookies & analytics below).
  • Our email delivery provider: to send sign-in links and order email.
  • Our eSIM connectivity provider: to issue your eSIM and report its usage.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies & analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferred display currency, and remember choices like your recent searches and cookie preference.

With your consent, we also use a few third-party tools to understand and improve the store:

  • Google Analytics: aggregate stats on pages viewed, searches and purchases.
  • Microsoft Clarity: anonymised session replays and heatmaps of how pages are used, so we can spot confusing layouts. It masks the text you type and see by default.
  • Meta Pixel: to measure whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to purchases, and to reach similar travellers. This is the one that involves advertising.

In the EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland these are switched on only if you accept them in the cookie banner: decline, and Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode with no identifiers while Clarity and the Meta Pixel do not record anything. You can change your choice any time via Cookie preferences in the footer of every page.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your account data. To delete your account and associated data, email us and we’ll take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
