When the Global plan is the right choice
Single-country plans are almost always cheaper per gigabyte. Global wins on two things: convenience and unpredictability. If your itinerary involves more than two countries — or if you don’t know yet which countries it’ll involve — buying one Global plan beats buying three separate ones and managing them mid-trip.
It’s also the right choice for countries we don’t list individually — most of Africa, Central Asia, the Middle East. The Global plan reaches places where local options are clunky, slow, or require ID registration.
One nuance worth knowing: in China, our Global plan automatically routes around the Great Firewall — Google, WhatsApp, Instagram and Western news sites work without a VPN. Local Chinese SIMs don’t do this.
Questions, answered.
Which countries are covered?
130+ across all continents except Antarctica. Major markets in the Americas, all of Europe, most of Asia (including China, Japan, Korea, India), the Middle East, most of Africa, plus Australia and New Zealand.
Will it work in China?
Yes — and unlike local Chinese SIMs, our Global plan routes around the Great Firewall. Google, WhatsApp, Instagram, news sites all work without a VPN.
Do speeds vary between countries?
Yes — you’ll get 5G or 4G depending on the local network. Most countries you’d care about offer fast 4G as a minimum.
Is it cheaper than buying country-specific plans?
Not always — single-country plans are cheaper per GB. Global makes sense when you’re visiting 3+ countries or your itinerary keeps changing.
Can I tether?
Yes — tethering is allowed on all Global plans.
