Using data in the UK
UK mobile coverage is strong in cities and most of the home counties. 5G is widely available in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Cardiff. 4G covers the rest, including most of Cornwall, the Lake District, and Highland Scotland. The truly rural bits — deep Yorkshire moors, parts of the Scottish islands — can still drop to 3G.
Everything works as expected: banking apps, iMessage, WhatsApp, your usual 2FA texts, Apple Pay. Nothing is geo-blocked.
If your trip includes Ireland, France or anywhere else in Europe — consider the Europe plan instead. It covers the UK plus 40+ other countries on one eSIM, often for less.

Does it cover Scotland and Northern Ireland?
Yes. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are all included.
Will it work on the Tube?
Yes — the London Underground now has 4G/5G coverage across most lines. Older underground sections may briefly drop out between stations.
What about Ireland?
The Republic of Ireland is not in the UK plan — it’s included in our Europe plan. If you’re doing UK + Ireland together, Europe is the better buy.
Can I tether?
Yes — tethering is allowed across the UK plan.
What if I cross into the EU?
The UK plan only works in the UK. If your itinerary includes the EU — buy the Europe plan instead. It includes the UK + 40 other countries.
